Dispatch console
A real-time, offline-first routing console for a regional carrier — live vehicle state, drag-to-reassign stops, and a hardened sync layer for dead zones.

Hephaestus Labs designs, builds, and ships production web and mobile applications for startups and mid-market teams — scoped and billed per milestone, from discovery through launch.
What we build
We treat an application like a casting — scope the mold first, pour once, finish by hand. No open-ended retainers, no mystery line items.
React and TypeScript front ends on a Node/PostgreSQL core — dashboards, portals, internal tools, and customer-facing platforms built to carry real load.
React Native for iOS and Android from one codebase: offline-first sync, push, biometric auth, and App Store / Play submission handled.
Typed REST and GraphQL services, auth, background jobs, and Terraform-managed AWS environments with CI you can read.
Component libraries and accessible UI primitives documented so your team can extend the product without us in the room.
We bill per milestone so you can halt a build at a known line — not discover the real cost after it ships.— How Hephaestus Labs quotes every engagement
Selected builds
Logistics
A real-time, offline-first routing console for a regional carrier — live vehicle state, drag-to-reassign stops, and a hardened sync layer for dead zones.
Fintech
A multi-step identity-verification and account-funding flow with resumable sessions, audit trails, and a typed API contract the compliance team could review line by line.
Retail / DTC
A warehouse-to-storefront sync service reconciling Shopify orders against physical stock in near-real time, with conflict handling instead of silent overwrites.
Health
A HIPAA-aware mobile intake with encrypted local storage, structured forms, and signed hand-off to an existing EHR — built to pass a security review before launch.

Our toolchain
Strict mode everywhere — one language across client, server, and infra.
Component-driven web UIs with server rendering where it pays off.
Single codebase for iOS and Android with native modules as needed.
Typed REST/GraphQL services and background workers.
Relational core with migrations checked into the repo.
ECS, RDS, and S3 — provisioned, not clicked.
Infrastructure as code so environments rebuild from scratch.
End-to-end tests that run in CI on every pull request.
How a project bills
You approve a scope and price per milestone before we start it. Figures below are typical starting points; final quotes follow a discovery call. Invoiced net-15 by ACH or wire.
A 2–4 week engagement that de-risks the build: product spec, data model, architecture diagram, and a clickable prototype you own outright.
The build, run in two-week increments with a working staging demo at the end of each. You see progress you can click, not status decks.
Hardening, production deploy, monitoring, and a documented handoff — plus 30 days of stabilization so launch week doesn't become your emergency.
